Abstract: Teaching business analytics has become a critical requirement in many business schools to stay competitive, and the search for real-world examples of business analytics applications is a subject of great interest among analytics instructors. Instructors want to be able to show students how to develop and build business analytics applications that can effectively help real world business decisions. In this research, we aim to develop teaching methodologies to design visual analytics applications that are effective at the classroom and at the same time practical for students to relate to when building their own dashboard application. This research attempts to showcase these designs in case studies where analytics applications are create to help students understand how they are used in various business operations.
