Post-Implementation Review of an Introduction of WebCT

Abstract: This paper describes the process of a post-implementation review of WebCT introduction at Eastern CSU. It is based on structured interviews of twenty faculty members and nineteen students who were are using this technology. These interviews were summarized using a software program for processing unstructured text, NVivo. The report analyzes the usage of WebCT among faculty and students within the University, the organizational structures and procedures that were established at ECSU to implement WebCT, its impact on the teaching practices at the university, and shows some problematic areas that the users of WebCT are having, which might be of usefulness to other similar endeavors elsewhere.
